Hi!

I’m Moom Thahinah, a strategic creative, filmmaker and artist working across moving image, design, illustration and visual storytelling.

My practice starts with an idea or a question, then finds the right way to bring it to life. Sometimes that means making a film or animation; sometimes it becomes an object, an illustration, a product, or a wider creative direction. I’m interested in how stories are shaped through images, materials, movement and culture.

A large part of my work explores identity, place and the everyday ways people connect with one another. Growing up in Qatar and working across different cultural and creative environments has shaped the way I look at visual language, tradition and contemporary life. I’m particularly interested in finding new ways to translate these observations into work that feels both personal and accessible.

Alongside my creative practice, I work in academia and enjoy helping others develop their ideas, visual language and creative confidence.

At the centre of everything I do is the same question: how can an idea become something people can see, feel and remember?
